Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Since it is the season of the pumpkin here in the USA, I figured I would begin with a classic pumpkin pie recipe! I modified the recipe I found originally from here.

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can (15 oz) of pumpkin puree
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 graham cracker pie crust

  • Turn oven on to 425F
  • Mix the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, ginger and cloves in a bowl
  • Beat the 2 eggs in a separate large bowl
  • Stir in the pumpkin puree and then the spice mixture
  • Gradually stir in evaporated milk
  • Pour mixture into pie shell
  • Cook pie in oven for 15 minutes, then reduce the heat to 350F for about 45 minutes
  • Remove pie from oven and cool for a couple hours before refrigerating
  • Serve the pie plain or with homemade whipped cream!
